Shaped by years of global travel, kitchens, ingredient study, and a deep fascination with how real food can transform the way people feel, think, and live. After my own health transformation, I became consumed by the intersection of culinary craft, metabolic health, and human potential. What drives me is the knowledge of what food can unlock in us. Yes. We want to make your life easier. We don't hide the fact that you are subscribing to a weekly service. You can Skip weeks, Pause, and Cancel in the Customer Portal by logging into your account on our website. This must be done before our Order Cut off On Tuesday at 6pm.

Each dish is designed for 2 Servings each.
3-Day Plans- Core weekly meals, handled. No cooking, shopping, or prepping for at least half the week. A great way to try us before committing to the 5-Day Plan
5-Day Plans- Your nutrition, handled. For the entire week. No grocery store, no online ordering. Just beautiful food, ready when you are.
The Stag- Perfect for one person, core meals handled. Not to be shared.
The Lion- Feeds 1 to 2 people depending on appetite or if you are eating it for lunch and dinner.

Our mission is to source the best in class meats and organic produce you can find in Los Angeles. From grass fed beef, forest raised pork, sumptuous lamb, and organic poultry, we’re here to find the farms that ethically raise their crops and animals. For our seafood offerings, we use wild caught fish and the best aqua culture seafood in the world.

We are not interested in narrowly defining this style of cuisine, but it is in line with the ketogenic and low carb high protein diets with medium fat. This style of eating also includes healthy portions of organic vegetables and low FODMAP foods. We do not use any seed oils, simple carbohydrates, added sugars, gluten or GMO produce in our food. We do cook with gluten free soy based products such as Tamari and premium fish sauce made without shellfish.

We cook real food—not factory food.
Each week features different cuts, proteins, and cooking methods. A braised beef dish loses moisture differently than a grilled steak. Bone-in chicken yields differently than boneless. Wild fish, meatballs, lamb, and slow braises all cook differently.
We portion every meal to match your plan's protein target, but because we use premium, minimally processed ingredients, individual dishes may occasionally be slightly above or below their target weight.
For example, meatballs or chicken tinga may contain a bit more protein, while premium cuts like hanger steak, flat iron, or ahi tuna may contain slightly less. Across the week, we aim to deliver the protein level you've selected.
We'd rather serve exceptional ingredients than engineer every meal to hit an exact decimal on a scale. It's one of the tradeoffs of cooking like a restaurant instead of a factory.

Unfortunately, we do not offer dairy free options, but we do use only A2 organic dairy sources. We can always omit sauces with dairy, so don't let this stop you from our amazing food.
We will try our best to accommodate your requests, but since we are preparing food for many people, we like to keep our process streamlined. You can email us at support @thegourmetanimal.com if you have any questions. It also may be that if your diet is too restrictive, our service may not be the right fit.
Each dish is packaged ala carte(separately), giving you freedom to choose how to pair your meals. Our meals are sealed and last up to 6 days in the refrigerator.
All of the food we deliver to your door is prepared in an inspected and "A" graded commercial kitchen in Los Angeles. We adhere to the highest food handling, preparing, cooking temperatures, and cooling guidelines set by the county.
We use a state-of-the-art blast chiller in our commercial facility, which can quickly cool a 145-degree roast down to 38 degrees in 35 minutes.
If prepared food is properly cooked and cooled, and kept unopened in its original container, it will stay fresh for up to 6 days in the refrigerator. You also have the option to freeze our food for up to 3 months if you are unable to consume it in the appropriate amount of time. We recommend consuming any seafood dishes as soon as possible.
No. We offer meals based on protein needs by weight per day. Our average serving is between 350-400 calories per meal.
Our ordering process is all online and easy to navigate on the checkout page. We need to receive your order on Wednesday by 6pm for delivery on Sunday.
You can pause your subscription at any time in the customer portal. We offer a WEEKLY subscription that auto-renews. The Weekly subscription can be adjusted after the first week by logging onto your customer portal and making necessary SKIP, PAUSE or CANCEL functions.
