Best Sourcing, Period.

We cook exclusively with the finest ingredients: local, organic, and in-season produce; grass-fed, pasture-raised beef; premium aquacultured and wild-caught seafood; and trusted poultry such as Jidori and Mary’s chicken. We source from the same farms, fisheries, and butchers relied on by top Los Angeles restaurants. If it is factory-farmed, heavily sprayed, or mass-produced, it does not make it into our kitchen or onto your plate.

Chef's Mission

I’ve worked in demanding worlds where energy, focus, and resilience matter. What I learned is simple: the quality of your food shapes the quality of your life.

When I rebuilt my own health, I stripped my cooking down to the fundamentals: grass-fed meats, responsibly sourced seafood, organic produce, clean fats, no sugar and no seed oils. Real, beautiful whole-food, cooked with intention.

The Gourmet Animal was born from that philosophy. Not as meal prep, but as an alternative to an industrial food system that prioritizes profit over people.

This is a business built from passion, designed to support both local ecosystems and whole-body health. For those who want to feel better, perform better, and eat with integrity, we exist for you.

Where do you Deliver in Los Angeles?

We basically cover the whole City with delivery on Sunday Morning from 8-12pm. We are expanding into the Southbay and service the Valley, DTLA, Silverlake, Santa Monica, Venice/WestSide, Culver City and all points in between. View Our Map here
I'm confused about the number of meals & plans... can you explain?

We size our plans in lbs per entree, meaning each entree you receive would be either a

Stag- 3/4lb cooked Protein per Entree + 9oz Vegetables per Side
Lion- 1lb cooked protein per Entree + 10oz Vegetables per Side
Bear- 1.5lb cooked protein per Entree + 12 oz Vegetables per Side

3-Day Plan- Core Meals for the week, not the full experience. Feeds you for 3-4 Days

You will receive 3 Entrees and 3 Sides, all the under 3-Day Menu on Next Week's Menu.

5-Day Plan- Food for the week, handled. You will receive ALL of the dishes on Next Week's Menu.

You will receive 5 Entrees and 5 Sides.

We will swap protein your don't like at checkout. You can also give us your allergies. We're here to expand your palette.

Do I choose my meals?

Not exactly. We prepare a fixed menu each week that includes 5 protein dishes, 4 vegetable dishes, and a Salad. You may choose to swap a protein on the menu for another by selecting which protein you don't want at checkout. The kitchen will substitute another entree from the Week's Menu if you are on the 3-Day Plan. If you are on the 5 Day plan, we will double up an entree for you.

We don't allow cherry picking the menu every week. But if you want to email support@thegourmetanimal.com we'll do our best to accomodate.

Do you count Macros for every dish?

No. We don't count macros and don't believe in counting them. Our food is gourmet healthy and comprised of best in class proteins, local vegetables, organic dairy, and single source olive oil, ghee butter, coconut oil, and tallow.

When you eat this way, counting Macros is a thing of the past. But if it's important to you, we urge you to track your own using an online app.

Do I need to prepare or cook any of the food?

The Gourmet Animal meals are fully cooked and ready to eat, but you will need to be okay with reheating the food. We intended you to slow down, and reheat the food in a pan with oil or in the oven. We don't recommend t microwaving this food, to get the full experience of our intentions at home. We provide easy-to-follow reheating instructions for each dish on the menu included with every delivery.

From organic family farms and local purveyors who grow and harvest the best products you can find in Southern California. Our Farms list is here
How often does the menu change?

Every week! Our chefs create a fresh, innovative menu featuring 5 protein dishes, 4 vegetable sides, and an incredible market salad so our food never gets boring. View Next Week's Menu here
When is my food delivered?

All of your meals are delivered together on Sunday between 8am - 12pm. See our delivery page for more info.
How is the food packaged?

Each dish is packaged ala carte. Entrees and veggies are packed separately. Giving you flexibility on what to eat with what and when.

All packages are sealed.

We also include Sauces packed separately in a Sauce Box in each delivery.
